These rules regulate the use of the Zona Bus official website, intended for tourist coaches and other special services in Barcelona to request daily use permits and advance bookings in unique locations.
zonabus.cat is the only website for managing permits and bookings. Obtaining the permit implies the express acceptance of these rules and the conditions established in Tax Ordinance 3.12/2025 and its Zona Bus appendix.
Daily Zona Bus permit: entitles holders to use the spaces in the Zona Bus system on the selected day, by type of space indicated (parking or short stop).
Advanced booking in unique areas: required for passenger pick-up and drop-off in the spaces defined as “unique areas”, within a specific time slot. Exceptions: a daily permit will not be required for spaces defined as “intermodal”, unless the operator will be using other spaces in the Zona Bus system that do require a permit.
- Each permit and/or booking is valid only for the day, time slot, vehicle and space indicated on the receipt or voucher.
- Each permit is personal and non-transferable, and only applicable to one coach at a time.
- The vehicle may only be parked and stopped in the assigned sector, respecting the signs and instructions of supervision staff.
- Parking or stopping the vehicle outside the reserved hours or in unauthorised areas is prohibited.
- All operations must be recorded using the SPRO application or the digital channels provided by the City Council.
- A daily permit may be requested 30 days before the date of use.
- Payment of the corresponding fees (daily permit and, where applicable, booking of unique areas) will be made via self-assessment on the website itself.
- The authorisation will be issued electronically once payment is complete and can be downloaded in digital format.
Modifications or cancellations may be made:
Up to 7 days in advance: no cost.
Up to 48 hours in advance: 50% refund.
Less than 48 hours or no-show: no refund.
Modifications will be subject to the availability of spaces and time slots.
- Adhere to the conditions of the authorisation granted.
- Follow the recommended routes and specific signs for tourist coaches.
- Show the booking receipt or SPRO code when requested by supervision staff.
- Refrain from stopping or parking outside the authorised spaces.
School groups for educational purposes and children under 16 may request a free Daily Permit, pursuant to Article 7 of Tax Ordinance 3.12/2025. Despite the waived fee, they will still be required to process the registration and the corresponding declaration of compliance.
